Belt & Road – On the Madaraka Express in Kenya

The Madaraka Express is a high speed rain that links capital of Kenya, Nairobi to the port of Mombasa.  Funded by China as part of the Belt & Road initiative, it intends to boost the regions economic development by reducing the time and cost of travel to do business. The train has reduced a 472 kilometre journey from 12 hours to 4 hours and is expected to boost Kenya’s GDP.
